SPACE SIMULATION CHAMBERS

The space simulation chambers designed and built by AlcaSpace are intended for use in the execution of tests on components and products intended for the aeronautical and aerospace industry.
We create space simulators with different types of geometries, volumes, types of cooling, and thermal performance.
We can meet the needs of our customers by offering tailor-made projects, but we have also developed three basic standard models made according to the most widespread market requests:

  • Plants with dia. 700 mm x Lg. 800 mm
  • Plants with dia. 1000 mm x Lg. 1200 mm
  • Plants with dia. 1500 mm x Lg. 2000 mm

TYPE OF PLANTS

Shown below are the main types of aerospace component testing systems that we can produce and their characteristics:

CONSTRUCTION TECHNOLOGY:

Diathermic oil systems → operating temperatures -70 ° C / + 150 ° C

STANDARD SYSTEM DIMENSIONS:

Implants with dia. 700 mm x Lg. 800 mm
Implants with dia. 1000 mm x Lg. 1200 mm
Implants with dia. 1500 mm x Lg. 2000 mm

CUSTOMIZED SYSTEM DIMENSIONS:

Implants with a maximum useful diameter of 3,000 mm and a length of 10,000 mm

VACUUM LIMIT VALUE:

<5x10-7 mbar

UNIFORMITY OF TEMPERATURE

Max. 1.8 ° C

Our staff has everything needed to perform vacuum tests and functional tests:

  • 3 Helium mass spectrometers (maximum sensitivity 2x10-12 mbar l / s)
  • 2 wheeled pumping units equipped with primary dry rotary pump + turbomolecular pump, with an ultimate vacuum of 8x10-8 mbar, equipped with "full range" meters
  • Series of primary pumping groups for evacuating large rooms
  • 1 ion pump of 500 l / s with relative controller able to reach a limit vacuum of 10-10 mbar
  • 2 Multi-channel paper recorders, with the possibility of simultaneous recording of pressure, the temperature on the pieces, background noise, and other customizable parameters
  • Series of heating cables and insulating mats for the execution of baking cycles
  • Degassing/heating furnace for small vacuum chambers
  • Furnace for brazing in a vacuum or in a controlled atmosphere for small pieces
  • Flanges/fittings / bellows/valves and everything needed for vacuum and baking tests
  • RGA analyzer with 0-200 AMU scale
